Habitat for Humanity

Throughout the years, First Pres has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in their mission to provide the opportunity for home ownership to eliminate poverty housing in Evansville and in Vanderburgh and Posey counties. 

First Pres has been a sponsor of two homes.  One was built by members of the congregation.  The other was part of Evansville’s first inter-faith build, joining with the Jewish and Muslim communities, and funded by a gift from the estate of Charles and Mary Sperry.

First Pres continues to partner with Habitat for Humanity, providing funding and volunteer support.
