First Presbyterian is proud to present for the first time ever the stunning classic science fiction epic Metropolis by Fritz Lang. This film has long been lauded as the pinnacle of German Expressionism. Famed film critic, the late Roger Ebert, described this tale of a dystopian future as "visually exhilarating" that has "influenced a thousand films."
First Pres's Director of Music Robert Nicholls for the 7th year in a row brings us a fully improvised organ soundtrack to classic silent films. Come see Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on Friday night, and return Saturday for Metropolis!
Show is free, but donations will be collected for the The Choir School of First Presbyterian Evansville's summer camp fund.
